Barb Wilson- Registered Dental Hygienist
My interest in dentistry began at a very early age. I was encourged by a cousin who is a dentist to consider dental hygiene as a profession. I am very grateful to have taken his advice.
I earned my degree in dental hygiene in 1976. The first half of my career was spent working in the field of Periodontics (the treatment of gum disease). It was here that I honed my skills and developed a true understanding of how thorough dental care contributes to a healthier, happier patient.
I have been a part of Dr. Baker's team since 2000 and am fortunate to have found an office that is committed to the continuing advanced education and personal growth.
In 1999 and 2000 I traveled to Guatemala with a medical/dental team to provide services to the underpriviledged. It was a rewarding experience which I held near and dear to my heart.
On a personal note, I have been married for 32 years. My husband is an engineer an we share many similar intrests. The majority of our "spare time" surrounds our teenage daughter and her many activities, our church, family and friends. We are fortunate to have a multigenerational household when we took my mother in to live with us two years ago. Though my "plate" is full, I am truly blessed to have a balance in my life. I look foward to many more years with Dr. Baker. He is a true friend and loyal employer. |
